Ultimate Mashup Empty Ultimate Mashup

Okay, so this is an idea I've wanted to try for a while. Simply post any two consecutive lines of any song (while still following the forum rules,) but with three restrictions- the first word must make a complete sentence with the last line posted by someone else, no repeats of any song (even if someone posted it before you, and you must omit the last word of the second line. An example follows.

Alice: Back in Black! I hit the sack!
It's been so long, I'm glad to be-
(AC/DC, Back in Black)

Bob: Folding up your letters, unpacking winter clothes.
Searching for my hat, I thought I'd left it by the-
(Cyndi Lauper, Hat Full of Stars)

Chris: Zombies are marching!
(Ludo, Save our City)

And so on, and so forth. The title and the artist of the song must be noted. The goal is to keep the song going for as long as possible.

I'll start.

"I've paid my dues, time after time.
I've done my sentence, but committed no-"
(Queen, We Are The Champions)

Saying ay-oh, creeper's K-O'd
Loot his remains and now his sulpher's ...
(CaptainSparklez, TNT-A Minecraft parody of Taio Cruz's Dynamite)

Um, I thought you said you need two lines of a song...in the example, Chris has one line Smile Also what do you define as a line? I'll probably mostly be using Christian songs or Minecraft parodies or really annoying random songs Smile Also can we use lines from songs we make up? -such as parodies of songs we felt like making...

Alright, where is there continuity between "But Committed no..." and "Saying Ay-oh?" I'll let is slide, but there has to be continuity between my last line and your first line.

"Searching far and wide.
These Pokémon to-"
(Jason Paige, Pokémon Theme)

Chris only has one line to give a short example of what we're doing here.

A line ends where the next one begins on a lyric sheet. You may find this website helpful.

The song cannot be made up. It has to exist somewhere already. Parodies are okay, as long as they're someone else's work.

Take the chains off my lips, it's time to set my tongue free.

(Jonny Diaz, Stand For You)

In my head committed no saying made sense, now it doesn't, lol Smile

Also I figured that would be how you define a line, but I had just gotten up, so I wasn't sure...

and for lyrics (where lines are defined) I just look up the lyrics on google and find them when I'm not sure...

also how will we keep track of what songs are used, once this thread gets really long?-or can we then, as long as it's not recent?

Wait the first line has to be a sentence (once combined with the second from previous)?

"Little less conversation, a little more action.

(Elvis Presley, A Little Less Conversation)

It doesn't have to be a sentence, but there needs to be some continuity between the two lines.

"...the voice inside my head.

(Voice Inside My Head by Dixie Chicks)

And you didn't answer my question "also how will we keep track of what songs are used, once this thread gets really long?-or can we then, as long as it's not recent?"
